This is a well preserved cast of acropolis kore 674 a damaged marble votive statue recovered in 1888 from a deposit on the athenian acropolis containing debris from the persian destruction of athens in 480 bce. It was made by antenor son of eumares. The statue was found in three pieces in an 1886 excavation north west of the erechtheion on the athenian acropolis and is now in the acropolis museum in athens. The young woman stands straight and stares ahead with large lidded almond shaped eyes.
A long thick neck and sloping shoulders contrast with head which is a little heavy. The kore was found in 1886 on the athenian acropolis close to the erechtheion. The facial expression is underlined by a new understatement in details of the hairstyle and clothing.
